Safety Officer – Southern NSW


This construction and utilties contractor has a strong pipeline of work across the Greater Sydney and Southern NSW region. They are well known within the industry for their high safety standards and have an emphasis on creating safe workplaces.


To be successful in this role you will bring previous experience within high risk construction projects and be able to demonstrate your understanding of legislation and regulations. This is a contract role with an immediate start and would suit someone who is immediately available and living locally.

Beyond the technical requirements, we are looking for someone who is passionate about health and safety. You will be collaborative with a pragmatic working style and be driven to achieve results, a natural passion for safety and ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels. This role involves:

Internal and external health and safety reportingPerform and document incident investigationsContinuous improvement of site health and safetyPerform Safety, Environment & Quality auditsSpot gaps for improvement and carry out trainingDevelop solid and positive working relationships

Safety Officer Experience:

Previous contractor liaison experienceFormal qualifications in WHSSolid understanding of WHS within construction, civil, rail, utilities or building
